Hello and welcome to the newly improved website for Global Heartbeat, now Global Heartbeat Travel!
What do you think?
A lot of dreaming went into the creation of this website, and I’d love to hear what you think about it. But first, let me tell you the story of this digital baby…
When I left my job in the summer of 2014, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do next. I just knew it was time to get back to writing. To writing about my travels. To writing about people and places. To writing about what’s on my heart.
So, from an Airbnb in Munich, I started a new blog and called it Global Heartbeat. But as I shared in my very first post, it was an awkward process. I quickly learned that building a website was not my forte, and I spent hours researching the terminology, watching how-to’s, and putting the pieces together as best I could. I managed alright, I suppose.
Three and a half years later, I decided it was time for an upgrade, and I found myself in another proverbial boat full of strange tropical fruits. (To get the reference, you really should read that first article.) Even though I now know what widgets are, I was not going to make a second attempt at solo website creation. So, I called in the professionals. With a little hired help from the staff at Performance Foundry, photographer Jeremy Seow, and logo designer Katie Reintgen, I proudly launched Global Heartbeat Travel into the online world.
Global Heartbeat has been redesigned to not only inspire you to travel, but also to help you travel well.
Not only am I blogging about my travel experiences and sharing stories from around the world, but I’m also here to assist you in your travel plans. I LOVE planning for trips. I LOVE learning the history of places I’m going to visit. I LOVE preparing for my next adventure.
But I realized that not everyone loves those things.
My mission is to create customized travel itineraries that reflect each traveler-to-be.
My travel planning services are not out of a box. Each itinerary is crafted only after I get to know clients individually, after we assess passions, interests and personalities.
Because, I believe that travel is a singular experience, unique to every individual. And I want to help plan travel experiences that fit well, experiences that delight the soul and thrill the heart.
So! That’s where this new website is taking me… and where I hope it will take you!
Now, let’s go explore the world together.
With a grateful heart,
Hailey
