Where to Eat in Zurich

Food – how we eat, what we eat, where we eat – is such an intrinsic part of human culture. When I travel, I desire to seek out places that reflect the specific region I’m visiting or that have a wow-factor to them. And maybe you do, too.

Dining in Zurich, Switzerland can be a challenge for this very reason. With sky-high prices that give many visitors “Sticker Shock,” you may find yourself wondering whether your meal is worth the final bill. In order to ease your pain, just the tiniest bit, I’ve compiled a list of drinking and dining establishments across the city that I know personally and that I can recommend to you.

However, it’s not here anymore :)

For my most updated list of restaurants, cafes, and bars in Zurich, go to Where to Eat in Zurich 2.0. See you there! ♥

Glad I found this post — so helpful! Any tips on where to eat for lunch or dinner on Christmas Day?

      Hi Rhonda!
I’m glad I can help you find some enjoyable eats in Zurich. Unfortunately, I am not sure what restaurants – if any – are open on Christmas Day. And given that Christmas in 2016 falls on a Sunday, it may even be harder to find. I would make some calls and ask around in advance. Another option would be to take the train and head to the mountains on Christmas Day – the resorts should be open for Ski season!
      Best of luck!
